RIAU | Sumutmerdeka.id – A police officer on duty in South Sumatra (Sumsel) with the initials AW, was arrested for his involvement in a case of distributing 30 kg of crystal methamphetamine and 11 thousand ecstasy pills.
AW’s arrest resulted from the disclosure of 30 kg of methamphetamine and 11 thousand ecstasy pills from 7 people in Riau and South Sumatra, including AW.
Apart from AW, six other people were arrested, namely MAM (52), ZS (32), M (52) R (52), MS (52), and BFI.
They were arrested from 4 (four) locations in the Pekan Baru and Indragiri Hulu areas, Riau and Lubuk Linggau, South Sumatra.
“The initials AW are police officers,” said Manang, Wednesday (18/09/2024) as quoted by detikcom.
According to him, AW, who is a police officer at the North Musi Rawas Police, South Sumatra, currently still has the status of a witness, because he only accompanied the BFI perpetrators.
Meanwhile, BFI admitted that AW did not know that he was going to pick up narcotics.
Even so, the Riau Regional Police’s Narcotics Directorate continues to investigate AW’s involvement, including by carrying out urine tests, the results of which show positive for drug use.
“While we are studying their network.
“Including AW’s involvement, whether it is true that he only delivered or was he involved in this network,” he said.
AW himself was recorded as having been under investigation for 6 (six) months.
In fact, this police officer with the rank of Brigadier is now a fugitive from Propam because there has been no news for a long time and he has not been on duty.
“For AW, he was on leave, so he hasn’t been on duty for a long time.
“The urine test results were also positive for drugs,” said Manang. (Seconds)
