Even from the targets set in the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), Indonesia is still having difficulty achieving the target of increasing access to clean water and sanitation quality.
The trial of clean water distribution for the Medang Deras PDAM Unit is starting to run normally.
The reason is that for eight days there was damage to the summersible pump or intake pump. Friday (16/08/2024), customers of the PDAM unit, residents of Jalan Rahmat Dusun Pasar Saru, Sidomulio Village, when contacted by this media crew, said that the PDAM water was running.
However, the water is not as optimal as before.
“Apart from that, a housewife asked for additional operational time to be added so that she could fulfill her washing, bathing and other needs,” said the housewife.
Apart from that, customers from Pangkalan Dodek Subdistrict asked the Medang Deras PDAM Unit to be more accurate in providing information when there is damage to the PDAM, as well as responding to problems with customers.
The Managing Director of PDAM, represented by Syukur, expressed his apologies to the media crew and the public for the service which was not optimal, which has disappointed customers for the past eight days, due to damage to the summersible pump.
Adding gratitude to the short WhatsApp telephone message, the Director of PDAM is moving forward to better accept the aspirations of the community.
